We are a group of cloth doll makers who meet once a month in Farnborough, Hampshire. There is a range of abilities, but we are all enthusiastic and keen to learn new skills, as well as practice old ones. It's a very friendly and low key environment in which to learn and craft, and while we do that we drink tea, eat donuts and discuss a wide range of topics.
The Creative Cloth Doll doll club in Farnborough has been invited to display their beautiful dolls made by their members in The Old Chapel Textile Centre in Newbury. There will also be an opportunity to learn some of the techniques used to make these dolls in a two day workshop for those who are interested. Spice girls! No this post is not about the girl band but about one of our very talented doll club member Sally Brockbank
Sally created these wonderful dolls each representing a spice. Not sure if you can see the little cards each doll is holding telling us all about the spice it represents. Sally has created each of these dolls with great detail. Enjoy looking at them as words can't describe their beauty.
